Cosmetic tattooing · pigment matched by undertone

3D areola restoration after surgery

Areola and nipple rebuilt in pigment: matched base tone, drawn shadow and a highlight that reads as dimension on flat reconstructed tissue. Unhurried appointments, closed studio, one client at a time.

How the illusion is built

Flat tissue is given depth with three layers rather than one flat colour: a base matched to your remaining areola or to your inner-skin tone, a shadow arc along the lower edge, and a soft highlight at the top.

  • Placement measured seated and lying down, then confirmed in a mirror before pigment.
  • Both sides mapped together when only one side is reconstructed.
  • Scar tissue takes pigment unevenly — density is built across two sessions, eight weeks apart.
  • Warm brown-rose bases are used; pure red and pure pink are avoided because they shift fastest.

Ready for the appointment

  • At least 12 months since your last surgery on the area.
  • Scars fully closed, pale and no longer changing.
  • Radiotherapy finished, with your specialist’s clearance.
  • Reconstruction, single-side restoration or areola reduction results.

We wait or refer

  • Active treatment, or skin still tender and pink.
  • Lymphoedema in the adjacent arm without medical sign-off.
  • Keloid scarring tendency.
  • Pregnancy, breastfeeding, or planned revision surgery.

Healing roadmap

Restored tissue heals unevenly by design. Read the settled result, not the first week.

Days 1–3

Deep and saturated, with a shine to the skin. Loose cotton only, no bra underwire across the site, no swimming or gym.

Days 4–7

Fine flaking and patchy colour. Scarred areas often shed faster than surrounding skin, which is expected at this stage.

Days 14–30

Tone stabilises and the shadow reads properly again. Session two is planned from this settled result, not from day-one photos.

Transparent pricing

First session from $650 per side, including mapping and pigment matching.
Second session at 8 weeks $250 per side — treat it as part of the work, not an extra.
Refresh from $320 per side, usually needed every 2–4 years.

Consultations for restoration work are private and take about 45 minutes. You can bring someone with you.
