Privacy policy: what this site receives, and what is done with it.

Enquiries about areola tattooing are personal by their nature, and they deserve a policy written in the same plain language as the rest of this site. Set out below: what information reaches the studio, where it sits, who is able to open it, how long it is kept, and how to have it removed.
SCOPE

What this policy applies to

This policy covers areolatattoo.com.au and the private enquiry form published on it. It describes what this particular website actually does — not a general set of practices borrowed from elsewhere.
Nothing here requires an account, a login or a payment. Every service page, every guide and the Before & After gallery can be read without identifying yourself in any way. Information only reaches the studio at the point you decide to write to us.
INFORMATION

What the site receives

Enquiries you send

When you write through the enquiry form, the studio receives the fields that form submits and stores: your name, email address, phone number, location, the subject of your enquiry, an indicative budget, a preferred timeframe and your message. Only name, email and message are required; phone, location, subject, budget and timeframe are optional, and an enquiry sent without them is answered in the same way. Nothing is inferred from what you send, and nothing is appended to it.

Ordinary technical records

Like any website, this one is delivered by a hosting service whose systems keep routine logs — the records needed to serve pages and keep the site secure. Where visits are measured at all, they are read as aggregate patterns rather than traced to a person.

Nothing beyond that

There is no advertising pixel on this site, no retargeting, no payment processing and no mailing list you are added to automatically. Enquiry information is not sold, exchanged or shared with anyone for marketing of any kind.
CUSTODY

Where enquiries sit, and who is able to open them

Enquiries submitted here are stored inside this website’s own installation, on the hosting that serves the site. They are not pushed automatically into an external marketing platform, a customer database or an advertising service.
Access is limited to the studio and to the technical maintenance of the site itself — a hosting provider necessarily holds the database in which enquiries live, as it does for any website. Within the studio, enquiry material is read by the person who will answer you.

How long it is kept

Enquiry records are kept while a conversation is open, and afterwards only while they remain useful to that conversation — for instance if you return later to discuss a refresh of earlier work. They are not retained for their own sake, and you can ask for yours to be deleted at any point.
A gloved practitioner opens a sterile packaged item over a treatment table covered with clinical supplies and instruments.
Reference photograph: one pair of gloved hands working over a prepared tray. Stored enquiries follow the same rule — opened deliberately, by one pair of hands, only when there is a reason to.
IMAGERY  ·  CONSENT

Photographs are never published without separate written consent

Imagery is the most sensitive material a practice like this handles, so it is governed separately from everything else. The Before & After gallery carries only genuine results that the person concerned has approved, in writing, for that specific use.
If you choose to share photographs with the studio during a consultation conversation, they are used for that conversation alone — to discuss shape, symmetry and tone with you. They are not published on this website, shown on social media, used in any promotional material or added to the gallery without a separate written permission given for that purpose.
Agreeing to treatment is not agreeing to be shown. Permission given once can be withdrawn later, and an image can be removed from the gallery on request.
MECHANICS

Cookies, measurement and the services behind the site

A short, unembellished account of the working parts — what they do, and what they do not do.

Functional cookies
A small number of cookies may be set so the site behaves correctly during your visit — remembering, for example, that a form has already been submitted. They are not used to follow you elsewhere.

Measurement
Where page visits are counted, the purpose is editorial: which guides are being read, which pages are difficult to find. It is read in aggregate and is not used to build a profile of an individual reader.

Hosting
The site, its pages and its stored enquiries sit with a hosting service. Its systems necessarily hold everything the website holds, and it maintains the security of that environment.

Replies
A reply travels by ordinary email or telephone, according to how you asked to be contacted. Email is convenient rather than confidential, so you are welcome to keep what you write brief and say more in person.

No advertising
This site carries no advertising and sends nothing to an advertising network. There is no remarketing of visitors who read a service page and leave.

YOUR REQUEST

Ask what is held, and ask for it to go.

You can ask what information the studio holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for a photograph to be withdrawn, or ask for an enquiry to be deleted entirely. Send the request through the enquiry form and say plainly what you would like done — no explanation is required, and asking does not affect how you are cared for.
If part of a request cannot be actioned, you will be told what remains and why. This policy sits alongside the site’s Terms & Conditions and applies to the pages published at areolatattoo.com.au.
