PLATE XII  ·  TERMS
Home  /  Terms & Conditions

Terms and conditions for using this website.

This page covers how the content on areolatattoo.com.au should be read, what may be done with the text and photographs, and the limits of what a website can decide about anyone’s treatment.
It is written in the same plain register as the rest of the site. Using the site means accepting what follows.
CLAUSE ONE

Everything published here is educational.

The pages on this site — service descriptions, guides, FAQ answers and gallery notes — are written to explain what restorative and paramedical tattooing involves, in general terms, for people who are still deciding whether to enquire. They are information, not instruction.
Nothing on this site is medical advice. It does not diagnose any condition, assess anyone’s skin or surgical history, or determine whether a treatment is appropriate for a particular person. Where a healing window, a colour behaviour or a number of appointments is described, it is described as a general pattern — not as a prediction of what will happen for you, and not as a guarantee of any result.
Skin, scar tissue, surgical history and pigment all behave individually. If you are under the care of a surgeon, oncologist, breast care nurse or general practitioner, their guidance about your own situation takes precedence over anything written on these pages.
The Resources & Guides and FAQ pages are written under exactly the same limits, as are the ten service pages.
CLAUSE TWO  ·  SUITABILITY

Suitability is considered in consultation, not on a web page.

A consultation is where an individual situation is actually discussed: what has happened to the area, what you are hoping to change, how the skin currently looks, and whether tattooing is a sensible next step at this point in time. That conversation cannot be replaced by reading, and this site does not attempt to replace it.
Sending an enquiry is not a booking, and it is not an agreement that treatment will proceed. A consultation may equally conclude that waiting is wiser, that a question belongs with your treating team first, or that a different approach should be considered.
Hands use a pencil to work on an intricate circular, symmetrical design on paper while another hand steadies the sheet.
Reference photograph: a symmetrical design worked out by hand, on paper. Each design is drawn for one person, which is why suitability is judged in consultation — looking at that person’s skin, scarring and surgical history — rather than settled by anything written on a web page.
CLAUSE THREE

Text, photographs and client images.

Site content

The writing, structure, layout and photographs on this site are protected by copyright and remain the property of their respective owners. Reading pages, printing them or sharing a link for your own personal, non-commercial use is welcome. Copying the copy, republishing the photographs, or adapting this material to promote another practice is not permitted without written permission.

Reference photography

Several images across the site are reference photographs chosen to illustrate drawing, measuring, pigment and studio preparation. They are captioned as such. They are not photographs of client treatment and they are not results.

Client images

Any before-and-after photograph on the Before & After page appears only where the person pictured has consented to that specific use. Consent remains theirs: it can be withdrawn, and an image is taken down when it is. Client images must not be copied, reposted, reproduced or used anywhere else in any circumstances. How images are handled and stored is set out in the Privacy Policy.
CLAUSE FOUR
Using the site, and how the content is kept.

Acceptable use and accuracy.

01
Lawful use. The site is offered for personal, lawful use. Interfering with it, attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, introducing malicious code, or using automated tools to harvest content or enquiry data is not permitted.
02
Information you send. Please send information that is accurate, and only your own. Do not write another person’s details or health information into your message unless they have agreed to it. The enquiry form does not take photographs: if images would be useful, they are discussed first and shared by arrangement.
03
Content may change. Pages are written carefully, but understanding and practice both move. Content on this site may be corrected, rewritten or removed at any time, and no page should be treated as a fixed or permanent statement.
04
Availability. The site is made available as it is. Access may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside the studio’s control, and continuous, uninterrupted availability is not undertaken.
05
External links. Where a page links to an organisation or resource elsewhere, that link is offered for convenience. The content, accuracy and privacy practices of other websites are theirs, not the studio’s.
CLAUSE FIVE  ·  LIABILITY

Limits of responsibility.

To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for loss or damage arising from reliance on general information published on this site, from decisions made without a consultation, or from the unavailability of the site.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law.
CLAUSE SIX  ·  GOVERNING LAW

Where these terms apply.

Areola Tattoo Studio is an Australian practice, and these terms are governed by Australian law. Any dispute arising from use of this site is to be dealt with in the courts of Australia.
If part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply. Continued use of the site after terms are amended indicates acceptance of the amended version.
CLAUSE SEVEN

Appointment terms are given directly, at the time of booking — not published here.

Arrangements for an appointment — what is required to hold a date, notice for changes, and what happens if plans shift — are explained to you directly when a booking is being made, so that they are understood in the context of your own treatment plan rather than read as a general policy on a public page.
Questions about these terms, about how an enquiry is handled, or about anything on this page can be sent through the enquiry form. How information sent to the studio is stored and used is described separately in the Privacy Policy.
